Dr. Tim McAnulty

Dr Tim McAnulty completed Dentistry at Sydney University graduating with Honours in 1977 and in 1978 commenced practice as an assistant dentist in Nyngan on the Central Western Plains of NSW. Over the following two years he provided dental services in both Nyngan and Cobar before concentrating on the Nyngan practice full-time after purchasing it in 1980.
During the 1980s and early 1990s he also worked part-time for NSW Health providing Dental Services for school aged children at the Nyngan Public School Dental Clinic. In 2004, he completed the Graduate Certificate in Dentistry from Adelaide University and in the same year he and his family moved to Orange as partner with Dr Arthur Mills and then as sole Practice Principal. Since his move to Orange, Tim has held the positions of Clinical Lecturer Faculty of Dentistry, University of Sydney and Clinical Tutor School of Dentistry, Charles Sturt University at various times.
Tim has been a member of ADA NSW since graduation and has served as a Director on the ADA NSW Board and was a Councillor from 2016 until 2020. He has been an active member of the ADA NSW Western Division having held the position of Secretary and has just completed his time as Chair of the Division. He also served on several ADA NSW Committees.
Tim is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International.
Dr. Sabrina Manickam
BDS (Syd), FICD FADI FPFA
Sabrina received her degree from the University of Sydney in 1993 and was the recipient of the University of Sydney, Faculty of Dentistry, Alumni Jubilee Medal 2001 for Outstanding Contributions to the Profession & Clinical Dentistry. Sabrina moved to Orange in 1999 and worked for the Orange health Service where she became the Area Clinical Director for Oral Health in the Greater Western Area Health Service, with a conjoint appointment as Sub-Dean, Rural Dental Programs, with the University of Sydney. Sabrina was formerly teaching at Charles Sturt University from 2008-2013 as a foundation academic in the position of senior lecturer and later as Associate Head of School. Her teaching area included the fields of professionalism, ethics and preparation for practice as well as pre-clinical restorative dentistry and general clinical dentistry. Her research interest is in oral malignancy and particularly patient oral cancer screening in rural and regional areas.
She has held significant roles with the NSW Branch of the ADA since 2004 and was NSW President 2015-17. She is also currently active with the ADA Western Division. Sabrina has held a ministerial appointment as the Chair of the Assessment Committee of the NSW Dental Council from 2010–2015 which is the investigative arm of the complaints process in NSW. She was previously appointed to the Dental Care Assessment Committee of the NSW Dental Board from 2003-2007.
Sabrina has been a dental practitioner with McAnulty Family Dental since 2013 and now Practice Principal since January 2019. Sabrina is a fellow of the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Dentistry International.
Dr. Jun Han Yoon
M.Dent, B.Med Sci, B.Sci(Hons)
Dr. Jun Han Yoon grew up in Sydney, NSW where he initially completed his Bachelor of Medical Science at USYD and continued his tertiary education in Western Australia where he received First Class Honours at UWA. He has worked as a medical researcher prior to deciding on a career change to dentistry, which would allow him a greater opportunity to indulge his meticulous nature. Dr Jun Completed Master of Dentistry in Gold Coast, in which he achieved the Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Dr Jun always strives to renew his patient’s faith in dentists by providing a gentle and understanding approach to every procedure. Through his analogies, he ensures to simplify the confusion of ‘dental language’ so that every patient may understand their treatment before progressing.
Dr Jun enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, although he has a passion for aesthetic dentistry (crowns, veneers, teeth alignment), he also has a special interest in oral surgery (wisdom tooth removal) and implantology.
Dr Jun also understands that healthcare is rapidly changing and he prides himself on continuing to personally develop through educational courses to further his knowledge and provide patients with the gold standard of dentistry. Dr Jun is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed two year comprehensive orthodontic training with Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. In addition, he is currently completing his postgraduate training in Masters of Implantology at Goethe University located in Frankfurt, Germany.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Jun likes to maintain an active lifestyle by training at his local gym daily and playing tennis and golf.
Dr. Carina Tanaka
BDS (Uni Sao Paulo, Brazil), PhD, ADC
Dr Carina Tanaka completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2010 and her PhD in 2015, both from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. During her PhD, she spent 18 months as a visiting scholar at the University of New York working at the department of Biomaterials and Biomimetics gaining knowledge in mechanical testing and material science. In February 2017, she started her postdoctoral fellowship at University of New South Wales (UNSW). Her research focuses on a variety of biomaterials for dental and medical applications, including dental resin composites, nature-inspired composites, and biomaterials. During her career, she has authored and co-authored 20 journal publications in both specialized and interdisciplinary scientific journals.
In addition to her research, Dr Tanaka has taught as a guest and clinical educator for the biomaterials and tooth conservation courses for DMD year 1 students at the Sydney Dental School. In January 2022, Dr Tanaka has joined the School of Dentistry & Medical Sciences at Charles Sturt University as a senior lecturer.
She also has many years of clinical experience as general practitioner in private practice. In 2021, Dr Tanaka has satisfied, in the first attempt, all the requirements of the Australian Dental Council to practice Australia. Dr Tanaka has a particular passion for endodontics in which she has completed numerous professional development course.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Tanaka loves the outdoors hiking, camping, rock climbing or walking her puppy. After travelling around the world Carina has decided to settle down and call Orange home.
Dr. Tanvi Shah
B.Dent Sci (CSU)
Dr. Tanvi Shah was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. As a teenager, she moved to the USA with her family where she completed high school and a Bachelors degree in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting. She moved to Orange to pursue her dental degree, which she completed at Charles Sturt University. Tanvi has also been taught and mentored by Dr. Sabrina Manickam during her time at CSU.
Tanvi is skillful in multiple aspects of dentistry and strives to provide the best care for each patient. She is an ethical, empathetic and gentle dentist and would love to hear patients saying that they enjoyed their visit to the dentist rather than being filled with dread.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time at home with her dogs and cooking. She also enjoys immersing herself in new cultures by travelling within Australia and oversea
